AIM Funds Management Inc. has created the AIM Awards for Excellence in Professional Financial Planning to honour some of the investment professionals who work hardest at helping Canadians realize their financial goals.

The awards are open only to practicing members of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners. Nominations may encompass any one of three areas – contributions to the profession of professional financial planning; contributions to the community; or an outstanding example of the practical application of professional training and
experience.

Selected CAFP members and an AIM representative will serve as judges. There will be seven regional winners, representing the seven CAFP affiliates: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic region. A national winner will be chosen from these seven regional winners.

The awards will be presented on Friday, May 24, 2002 at 3:15 p.m. at the CAFP convention being held on May 22-25, 2002. All nominations must be received electronically on or before April 15, 2002.
