(December 15 – 16:15 ET) – Investors Group has hired Scott Morrison as its newest portfolio manager.
“He has an excellent ability to recognize companies with solid growth potential, including successful technology companies, plus he has a proven track record managing multi-billion dollar portfolio funds. His combined Canadian and international experience will be of real benefit to him as manager of Investors SummaTM Fund which has assets of over $2.8 billion,” says Scott Penman, president and managing partner of I.G. Investment Management, Ltd.
Morrison is arriving at Investors Group after a stint at CI Mutual Funds Inc. where he was lead manager on a US.. growth fund, a global technology fund and a co-manager on another major U.S. fund. He also worked as a senior investment analyst during his three years at CI.
The Summa Fund’s new manager will be located in I.G. Investment Management Ltd.’s new Toronto office. I.G. Investment Management has five key global operations including Montreal, Dublin, Hong Kong and headquarters in Winnipeg and a team of over 40 talented investment professionals with more than $37 billion in assets under management.
