Montreal Exchange has joined up
with the GLOBEX Alliance,
an electronic trading system that
links a number of exchanges
around the world.
Other members of the GLOBEX
network include the futures
markets of the Chicago Mercantile
Exchange (CME), the ParisBourse
SA, the Singapore International
Monetary Exchange (SIMEX), and
the Bolsa de Mercadorias &
Futures. The BM&F joined the
alliance on September 10.
Each member exchange connects
to a central trading system
through a common application
programming interface (API). The
API hub provides access to other
member exchanges, as well as all
the electronically traded products
of the exchanges.
The Alliance partners are
currently establishing trading
policies and rules to ensure
compliance and quality control.
