(September 20 – 12:30 ET) – Manulife Financial is planning to kick off its Sept. 23 IPO with some pomp and ceremony.
The recently demutualized insurance company says it will launch its global initial public offering Thursday with official listing ceremonies in Canada, the U.S., Hong Kong and the Philippines.
There will be “opening bell” ceremonies in New York and Montreal. Later in the day, Dominic D’Alessandro, Manulife’s president and CEO, will close the first day of trading in North America at the TSE at 3:45 p.m. ET.
Opening bell at the NYSE and closing bell at the TSE will also be broadcast via the Internet on www.manulife.com.
