Putnam Investments, PanAgora Asset Management and Integra Capital Management Corporation have announced a joint venture targeting the Canadian institutional investor market.

The joint venture, named Putnam PanAgora Integra Canada – PPI Canada – will provide Canadian institutional investors with a full range of global equity and fixed income strategies from Putnam and
PanAgora.

“This joint venture will provide Canadian investors with a choice of either quantitative or fundamental global expertise from two world class organizations who are known for their leadership in innovative
investment strategies,” said Graham Rennie, president and managing partner, Integra Capital. “This is particularly important to plan sponsors seeking value-added global solutions to meet their funding
requirements, especially in light of the recent elimination of foreign property restrictions.”

“In Integra, we have found an impressive partner with deep knowledge of Canadian plan sponsor needs and strong relationships with institutional investors and consultants,” said Ed Haldeman, president and CEO of Putnam Investments. “We believe that the combination of their strengths with Putnam and PanAgora’s investment array and knowledge of global markets will add value for investors in Canada.”

“In today’s risk-averse, lower-return environment, institutional investors are demanding efficiency-enhancing strategies,” said Eric Sorensen, president and chief executive of PanAgora Asset Management. “By partnering with Integra, we can make available to Canadian investors customized outside-the-box solutions already used successfully by many of our clients around the world.”
