Winnipeg-based Wellington-Altus Private Wealth Inc. (WAPW) is bringing in Omaha, Neb.-based Carson Group to help its advisors enhance their practices.

The newly established partnership represents a “transformative step” as WAPW seeks to institute best practices among its advisors, both in terms of their day-to-day operations and in serving clients, the company says in a news release.

Led by Barron’s hall-of-fame advisor, Ron Carson, Carson Group’s executive advisor coaches in wealth management will guide WAPW advisors in every facet of their business, from goal-setting, business planning and leadership to systematizing operations, human capital development, and prospecting strategies for firm growth.

“Hiring a company whose leader is still an investment advisor (IA) is what is important to us,” says Shaun Hauser, president and COO of Wellington-Altus in a statement. “Running a practice, meeting with clients, managing your staff, and trying to grow your business in between, are all things that Ron Carson and his team live and breathe every day.”

“In our mind, this relationship is another value-added element that sets WAPW apart from the rest of the options that IA’s in Canada have,” adds Hauser.
