Quebec City-based SSQ Financial Group intends to streamline its management organizational structure this year with the merger of the corporate actuarial role within its four companies, SSQ Life Insurance Company Inc. SSQ Insurance Company Inc. and SSQ General Insurance Company Inc.

The new structure will come into affect on April 1. As part of the reorganization, France LeBlanc will be appointed vice president, corporate actuarial. LeBlanc’s responsibilities will include monitoring the current and future financial situation of SSQ as well as the valuation of obligations to insured persons.

The new structure of the management team will be as follows:

  • Marcel Gaudet, vice president, corporate actuarial, individual insurance
  • Thierry Brochu, director, corporate actuarial, individual insurance and retirement
  • Luc Martin, director, corporate actuarial, life and health insurance
  • Frédéric Salliant, director, corporate actuarial, general insurance and operations support
  • Patrice Raby, vice president, actuarial
