PlanPlus Global announced the winners of the 2019 Global Financial Planning Awards competition.
First-time competitor Michael Palumbos, a wealth advisor at the firm Family, Wealth and Legacy, LLC in Rochester, NY, placed first for the Americas region.
Thayn Niemand of South Africa was the winner for the Asia Region and Paul Greenwood of Australia came out on top for the Europe/Australia region.
Last year, Jason Pereira from Woodgate Financial in Toronto won for the Americas region. Paul Tyers from Wealth Stewards, also in Toronto, was the first runner-up.
Zak Smith from Calgary-based Sagium won PlanPlus Canada’s 2019 financial planning award in May. He and runners-up Yvonne Martin-Morrison of Raymond James in Calgary and Bold David Kere of Bold Care Financial in Ottawa qualified for the Americas competition.
