Morgan Stanley, the World Trade Center’s largest tennant, continues to report that it is unsure of its employees’ safety.

The firm is believed to have had about 3,500 employees at the location scattered throughout 25 floors.

It continues to say it has limited information beyond what has been reported in the news. “Our immediate focus and concern are for the well-being and safety of Morgan Stanley employees. Some 3,500 people working for Morgan Stanley’s individual investor businesses were based in the World Trade Center complex — many of whom have reported in safely — and we are working diligently to secure additional information.”

The firm says that because of the enormous emotional and physical toll that these events have taken and will take among many of our employees and their families, Employee Assistance Counsellors will be available this morning at locations on Broadway in Manhattan, in Brooklyn and Jersey City.

The firm will be open for business including all U.S. branch offices, although it says that security will be heightened and “you should expect delays”. Employees will not be admitted to work without proper identification.

The firm says it is continuing to implement emergency contingency plans to ensure that its institutional and individual investor businesses can resume business at the earliest possible opportunity.
