TD Waterhouse is reporting on its monthly activity for the period ended March 31, 2002.
Total trades per day averaged 111,100. This is a 7% increase from February 2002, and 5% lower than March 2001, says TD.

Total customer assets were $141 billion as of March 31, 2002. That’s an increase of 4% from February 2002 and a 10% increase from March 2001. New accounts opened totaled 44,300. This is a 2% increase from February 2002 and 22% lower than March 2001.

Margin loans were $3.9 billion at March 31, 2002. This compares to$3.8 billion a month earlier and is a decrease of 15% from March 31, 2001. In the early part of April 2002, the firm has experienced a13% decrease in trades per day activity from the previous month’s average.
