Toronto-based Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce CIBC announced Monday that it will distribute its equities research to continental Europe through a partnership with Paris-based equities broker Kepler Cheuvreux SA.
Through the partnership, European clients will have access to CIBC World Markets’ “Canadian-focused research, analyst expertise and quality execution,” CIBC states in a release.
This announcement follows a September 2018 agreement in which Canadian institutional clients gained access to Kepler Cheuvreux’s European equities research.
“We are pleased to offer our top-ranked large-cap equity research, analyst access and execution capabilities to institutional clients in continental Europe through Kepler Cheuvreux’s strong client franchise and leading distribution platform,” Ed Dodig, managing director and head of equity markets, CIBC Capital Markets, says in a statement.
CIBC says it will continue to distribute research directly to investors in the U.K. and Ireland.
