Vancouver-based Canaccord Genuity Corp. has added two new investment bankers to its global mining practice team, according to an internal memo released on Thursday.
Markus Felderer has been named managing director of investment banking for mining in Canada. The move marks Felderer’s return to the firm, at which he had previously been a member of Canaccord Genuity’s mining franchise. He was most recently director of metals and mining for Vancouver-based HSBC Bank Canada and brings more than 15 years of experience in the mining sector to his new role.
Timo Jauristo has also joined the firm as a senior advisor within the mining team. Jauristo has worked in the mining sector for more than 20 years and was recently executive vice president with Vancouver-based Goldcorp Inc., at which he was responsible for corporate development.
