(January 27 – 16:30 ET) – PEAK Financial Group has acquired Groupe financier Larochelle et associés inc., a large distributor of life insurance products in the Sherbrooke area.
The deal went through in November of 1999, and since then, the sole proprietor of Groupe financier Larochelle, Marc-André Larochelle, joined PEAK Insurance Services as its Brokerage Manager.
Most of the brokers who used to place their business through Groupe financier Larochelle, from all parts of the province, are in favour of the deal and will continue to place their business with the new agency. It will now have over 90 active life insurance brokers, in addition to 50 brokers who place their segregated funds with the agency.
PEAK Financial Group launched its insurance division in July of 1998. The division now has five people on staff.
