Financial services consulting firm Promontory Financial Group has appointed Sheryl Kennedy, former deputy governor of the Bank of Canada, as a senior adviser to the chairman and CEO, the company said Monday.

Kennedy deputy governor and a member of the governing council of the Bank of Canada from 1994 to 2008. From 1984 to 1994 she held various executive positions in the Department of Finance.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Promontory provides strategic advice and assistance to financial companies, with a particular focus on due diligence and developing practical solutions to address regulatory, risk, compliance, capital and liquidity issues.
