Credit Union Central of Canada has appointed Joanne De Laurentiis as president and CEO. “Our Board has taken great care through the search process to ensure that Canadian Central has solid leadership at this crucial time in the financial services industry”, said Marcel Chorel, chairperson of the board of directors of Credit Union Central of Canada. “We are delighted that someone of Joanne’s calibre has agreed to work with us”, added Chorel.

De Laurentiis is an experienced executive with a solid background in strategic planning, marketing, human resources management, government and media relations, client-vendor relationships and project management.

She has served in executive management roles with the Canadian Bankers Association, Interac Association and most recently with Mondex Canada Association.

De Laurentiis has also served as a director on various industry committees and boards. She holds a Masters Degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.

De Laurentiis will assume her duties as president and CEO of Credit Union Central of Canada on November 5.
