CIBC said it will introduce Sunday branch hours in select branches in Vancouver and Toronto beginning later this year.
A select number of CIBC branches in central Toronto and Vancouver will open on Sundays. The full service branches will offer clients access to a complete range of transactional services, sales and advice.
“CIBC recognizes the changing needs of Canadians and the increased
demands on their time,” said Sonia Baxendale, senior executive vice president, CIBC Retail Markets.
“By offering Sunday branch banking hours, we are providing our clients with greater flexibility, access and choice that will allow them to better meet their banking needs – when they want, where they
want and how they want.”
The bank offers evening and Saturday banking hours in many of its 1,048 branches, as well access to its more than 3,800 automated bank machines.
