CFA Society Toronto announced the winners of its 2026 Undergraduate Finance & Economics Awards Friday. Presentations are scheduled for Feb. 12, at the association’s Embrace the Challenge event.

“[W]e are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of finance and investment professionals,” Fred Pinto, CEO of CFA Society Toronto, said in a media release. The program is open to third- and fourth-year students studying finance or economics at an Ontario university.

The third-year winners are Erica Chan of the Ivey Business School, Western University (first place), Dylan Beers of Queen’s University (second place) and Charlie de Boer, Huron at Western University (third place).

The fourth-year winners are Izora Kayumova of Rotman Commerce, University of Toronto (first place), and Nora Kaizer (second place) and Richard Feng (third place), both of the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University.

CFA Society Toronto partnered with its Ottawa counterpart to host their local round of the CFA Institute Research Challenge, designed to give students experience in financial analysis and equity research. Four finalists emerged: University of Waterloo, School of Accounting & Finance; University of Guelph, Lang School of Business & Economics; York University, Schulich School of Business; and University of Toronto-Scarborough.

Four finalists were also named in the CFA Societies Ethics Challenge: George Brown College; University of Toronto-Scarborough; University of Waterloo, School of Accounting and Finance; and York University, Schulich School of Business.
