Barclays Global Investors Canada Ltd. announced Tuesday that the Barclays Advantaged S&P/TSX Income Trust Index Fund has issued an additional 1,238,000 units at a price of $10 per unit.
The over-allotment option was granted to a syndicate of underwriters as part of the initial public offering for the fund, which closed on May 14. The syndicate of underwriters is led by BMO Nesbitt Burns, CIBC World Markets, and RBC Dominion Securities Inc.
Following the issuance of additional units, 19,238,000 units of the fund are issued and outstanding.
The fund’s investment objectives are to replicate the return of the S&P/TSX Capped Income Trust Index and to provide unitholders with a regular, stable stream of tax-efficient monthly distributions, consisting of capital gains and return of capital.
