(March 12 – 13:40 ET) – Bank of Montreal’s is promoting its wireless banking and investment services to over 200,000 Saskatchewan residents. Subscribers of SaskTel Mobility now have access to the bank’s Veev wireless financial services.

BMO launched Veev in May 1999. Veev users have secure access to a variety of banking, investment, e-commerce services. Financial services include trading through BMO InvestorLine direct brokerage, access to account balances and transaction details, funds transfer, bill payment and stock, mutual fund and index quotes.

“The addition of SaskTel reinforces our commitment to deliver Veev’s reach and presence across Canada to all Bank of Montreal customers, ” said Mark Dickelman, vice president, m-commerce and wireless, Bank of Montreal.

“Saskatchewan residents were telling us that they wanted to be able to access information when they are mobile, away from their home or office,” said Stacey Sandison, general manager, SaskTel Mobility.

SaskTel adds to the bank’s growing list of web-enabled carriers which includes Bell Mobility in Ontario and Quebec, Telus Mobility in Alberta and British Columbia, Clearnet and Rogers AT&T across Canada, Aliant Inc. in Atlantic Canada, MTS in Manitoba and Sprint PCS in the U.S.
