(June 1 – 16:00 ET) – AIC Limited and Transamerica Life Insurance Company of Canada have introduced three new AIC segregated funds. The funds are available for sale beginning June 1.

The three new Funds — AIC Global Advantage Segregated Fund, AIC Global Diversified Segregated Fund, and AIC American Focused Segregated Fund — increase AIC’s seg fund offerings to 12.

AIC Segregated Funds were first launched in January 1999 in partnership with Transamerica Life. Transamerica and its partners collectively hold the number one position in net sales of segregated funds in Canada.

“The introduction of these additional funds to the AIC Segregated Funds’ family provides investors with more choice in building a diversified portfolio,” says George Foegele, president and CEO of Transamerica.

The Global Advantage seg fund’s holdings include leading financial services businesses throughout the world such as AIG, Merrill Lynch, AMVESCAP, American Express and Lloyds. The Global Diversified seg fund invests in a range of companies operating in diverse sectors throughout the world. The AIC American Focused seg fund invests in select U.S. companies, many of which are currently not owned in other AIC funds.
