(November 28 – 15:50 ET) – Standard Life is enhancing its annuity products to benefit clients who spend part of the year living in the United States. Annuity payments can now be converted to U.S. dollars and deposited directly into bank accounts in the United States.

Standard Life is offering this feature free of charge.

“We realized that there are many annuitants who spend a majority of the winter season in the United States. This new feature is 100% in line with our total customer satisfaction philosophy, not only do our clients save time but also bank handling fees, not to mention gaining piece of mind” said Anthony Cardone, vice president, marketing, individual savings and retirement.

To access feature, clients need to inform Standard Life fifteen days in advance that they would like their money to be directly deposited into their American accounts. Prior to returning to Canada, clients can request that the money be deposited into their Canadian accounts.
