Heritage Education Funds Inc., a provider of Registered Education Savings Plans, announced today a new partnership with Hudson’s Bay Company and Hbc Rewards to help make saving for a child’s post- secondary education easier and more affordable.
The new RESP offer, which launched nationally on August 1, allows Hbc Rewards members to open a new Heritage Education Funds RESP for their children by simply redeeming 100,000 Hbc Rewards points for a $100 contribution into their RESP.
“Offering consumers the option of transferring Hbc Rewards points into a Heritage Education Funds RESP is a revolutionary new program in Canada,” said Scott McIndless, [resident and CEO for Heritage Education Funds, in a news release. “At Heritage, we believe that saving for a child’s education is important and should be easier for everyone – and this RESP offer allows Canadian families the opportunity to start planning for their child’s future and receive an invaluable return on their investment.”
Under the new program, Hbc Rewards points earned at participating outlets, including Hbc retail locations the Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters, Designer Depot or online at DealsOutlet.ca, can be redeemed towards a new Heritage Education Funds RESP. The RESP offer is limited to one redemption per beneficiary.
Heritage Education Funds is one of Canada’s premier providers of RESPs, with more than $1 billion in assets.
