BMO Harris Investment Management to proceed with fund merger
Firm focused on refining select investment strategies

BMO Harris Investment Management Inc., the investment management arm of BMO Harris Private Banking, announced on Wednesday that it has received regulatory approval to merge the BMO Harris Growth Opportunities Portfolio into the BMO Harris Canadian Growth Equity Portfolio.
The firm first proposed the merge on June 22. This change is part of BMO Harris’s continued focus on refining select investment strategies, the company said.
The merge is expected to take place at the close of business on September 24, 2010. When the merge is complete, holders of units of the BMO Harris Growth Opportunities Portfolio will receive units of the BMO Harris Canadian Growth Equity Portfolio. Investor approval will not be required to effect this change.
