Aston Hill Financial appoints new COO

Advertisement Investment manager Aston Hill Financial Inc. has appointed Mike Killeen as chief operating officer, the company said Tuesday. Killeen has 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles in or adjacent to the financial services industry and has participated in the transformational growth of the wealth management industry. Prior to joining Aston Hill (TSXV:AHF), Killeen was an executive vice president with Davis + Henderson Income Fund, senior vice president and general counsel with CI Financial for 13 years, and an associate with a major Canadian law firm. Killeen was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992 and recently graduated from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. Killeen will take a lead role in growing Aston Hill s own mutual fund and structured financial products business. Aston Hill believes the new business will be complementary to the firm’s existing energy management and sub-advisory business, and expects this new business to add significantly to the growth prospects for the company in the next few years.
