Investment dealer Raymond James Ltd. has hired Jacob Leibel as vice president and head of the private investment management group, the firm’s discretionary portfolio management platform.

“Enhancing our ability to serve affluent Canadians and their families with more sophisticated wealth management needs is a critical focus for Raymond James,” says Terry Hetherington, executive vice president, private client group.

“Jacob brings extensive skills and experience that will strengthen our support to investors seeking a discretionary portfolio management solution.”

Leibel joins Raymond James from RBC Dominion Securities where he co-managed one of the nation’s largest advisor managed discretionary programs over the past four years.

“Increasingly many clients are seeking out personalized solutions to help them better manage their portfolios,” says Leibel. “My goal is to work closely with the existing Raymond James team of professionals to continue to deliver the best possible services, training and products to support our financial advisors and their clients.”

Raymond James Ltd. is the Canadian arm of North American investment dealer Raymond James Financial Inc.
