Paul Devereaux has joined the company as vice president of financial services, TransUnion Canada announced Monday.

He will lead the financial services team for the Burlington, Ont.-based credit reporting agency as it continues to expand its market share in Canada.

“Paul brings extensive experience in business development strategy and has a proven track record of building highly effective sales teams, ” says Todd Skinner, president of TransUnion Canada. “We are excited to welcome Paul to TransUnion Canada as we continue to deliver high quality solutions for our customers throughout the nation.”

Devereaux has more than 25 years of experience in business development and sales. Prior to joining TransUnion, he led Canadian sales for SecureKey Technologies Inc., which produces an identity authentication platform for organizations that deliver online services to consumers.

Devereaux will be replacing Dan Smith, who was vice president of sales for the financial services vertical since 2012. Smith will head to TransUnion’s Chicago headquarters for a new sales position.

“Dan played an instrumental role during the last three years to help our company grow our revenues in the financial marketplace,” says Skinner. “We are fortunate to have had Dan on the team.”
