Toronto home sales tank 40% in July

Frankfurt-based Solactive AG has announced that it is opening its first international branch office in Toronto.

The launch comes during a period of significant growth for the company as it has recently introduced indices in various categories, increasing the number of ETFs connected to its indices up to 250.

“Solactive was born in a 2007 as a small index shop,” says Steffen Scheuble, CEO of Solactive, in a statement. “Ten years later, I am proud to say we are about to take off with our first overseas office, which will be located in Toronto.”

The firm also announced that Bernd Henseler joined the company in May to assume the role of head of Americas. In this position, Henseler will manage the development of the Toronto office. Previously, Henseler was former vice president and global head of channel management structured products with S&P Dow Jones Indices.

“This strategic move will allow the company to be closer to its North American customers and easily respond to the growing demand in the region,” the company says in a news release.
