Toronto-based RBC Global Asset Management Inc.is changing the ticker symbols of five currency-hedged ETFs effective May 9.

The changes, which are being introduced to simplify the symbols of the affected ETFs, will not impact their names, investment objectives or investment strategies.

Each symbol will bear an identifying “H” at the tail of the symbol to mark that it’s currency hedged as a way of distinguishing it from the corresponding unhedged ETF tickers.

For example, RBC Quant U.S. Dividend Leaders (CAD Hedged) ETF will see its ticker symbol change from RHU to RUDH.

A full list of the impacted ETFs is available in the firm’s news release.
