The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) on Thursday announced the names four new members who will be participating on its securities advisory committee for the next three years.
The committee provides advice to the OSC on legislative and policy initiatives, capital markets trends, and other issues.
The new members include: Anita Anand, law professor, University of Toronto; Margaret Gunawan, managing director and head of Canada legal and compliance, BlackRock Asset Management; Barbara Hendrickson, CEO and founde, Bax Securities Law; and Blair Wiley, partner at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.
They replace four outgoing members of the committee: Blair Cowper-Smith, OMERS Administration Corp.; Sheldon Freeman, Goodmans LLP; Mindy Gilbert, Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, and Kathleen Ritchie, Gowling WLG.
