The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has appointed a veteran finance executive as a part-time commissioner.

Garnet Fenn, who was formerly global assistant treasurer of Chrysler LLC and also formerly vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Chrysler Canada Ltd., begins his two-year term as a commissioner this month.

Fenn, who is a sessional instructor in finance and accounting at the University of Windsor’s Odette School of Business, has a commerce degree and an MBA from the Odette School. He is currently working on a doctorate of business administration at the Edinburgh Business School.

Fenn has also held positions with KPMG LLP, the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. and RBC Dominion Securities Inc.
