New York City-based investment manager Neuberger Berman Group LLC has announced that Ram Ramaswamy has joined as managing director and head of investment solutions for the Neuberger BermanBreton Hill ULCteam in Toronto.

Ramaswamy will develop portfolio insights and work closely with institutional and high net-worth clients, globally, to help them think through and realize their investment objectives. Prior to this role, Ramaswamy spent 16 years with Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP in the alternative investments and manager selection group. He has a master’s of business administration from the Wharton School.

The Neuberger Berman Breton Hill team utilizes rigorous quantitative research and proprietary technology infrastructure to develop investment solutions that range across the risk and return spectrum. The team manages approximately $2 billion in quantitative strategies and has 15 investment professionals.

The Neuberger Berman Breton Hill team was created earlier this autumn following New York Neuberger Berman Group’s acquisition of Toronto-based Breton Hill Capital Ltd. in September.
