Toronto-based Junior Achievement (JA) Canada is welcoming Scott Hillier to the role of CEO and president.

Hillier is an experienced leader within the business education organization dedicated to youth. He spent the last eight years leading JA’s southern Alberta chapter and brings an extensive professional background in business development, marketing, and entrepreneurship to the role, according to JA Canada’s announcement released Monday.

“Under Scott’s leadership, JA in Canada will continue to provide students with innovative and high quality programming in the areas of financial literacy, work place readiness and entrepreneurship, ” says Kevin Dane, chairman of JA Canada’s board of directors, in a statement. “Throughout his career at JA, Scott has been a driven leader, committed to working with JA Charters across Canada to achieve the JA mission of inspiring and preparing youth to succeed in a global economy. “
