Denver-based Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) recently welcomed Devin Ekberg, as managing director of education, a new role for the 11,000-plus professional association.

In his position at IMCA, Ekberg will oversee all live, online, and print educational content, including the creation of new initiatives or products, as well as providing additional support resources to current Certified Investment Management Analyst and Certified Private Wealth Advisor designees and candidates.

“I’m looking forward to maintaining the extremely high standards of education that IMCA members expect,” says Ekberg in a statement. “I hope to enhance the practicality of the education as well, so that members can instantly walk away from any educational experience we offer and use what they have learned immediately in their practice.”

Before joining IMCA, Ekberg was responsible for designing and delivering investment education to advisors and investors at Omaha, Neb.-based TD Ameritrade. He earned a master’s degree in security analysis and portfolio management from Creighton University in Omaha. Ekberg is a CFA charterholder.

IMCA is a nonprofit professional association and credentialing organization with individual members and certificants in 37 countries around the world.
