The Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) announced on Tuesday that it will honour six individuals who will be inducted into its Hall of Fame this year.

This list includies four renowned fund managers: Kiki Delaney, Ned Goodman, Peter Cundill and Stephen Jarislowsky.

Each of the fund managers founded their own eponymous firms: Delaney Capital Management Ltd.; Beutel, Goodman & Co. (as well as Dundee Corp. and numerous other firms); Peter Cundill & Associates Ltd.; and Jarislowsky, Fraser Ltd., respectively.

The other inductees are John Pearce Bunting, the long-time head of the Toronto Stock Exchange, who died earlier this year; and Bill Wilder, former president of brokerage firm Wood Gundy Inc.

“These six individuals are being recognized for their outstanding achievement in their professional and personal lives,” says Ian Russell, president and CEO of the IIAC, in a statement. “They have given much to the investment industry and capital markets, and given back much to their communities and to Canada.”

The 2017 inductees will be recognized formally at a gala dinner on Oct. 26 at the Delta Toronto hotel.
