Eric Sinclair, president of TMX Datalinx, is being recognized as Frontier’s College Companion Award winner at the Scrabble Corporate Challenge fundraiser on Wednesday night.

The award is the highest honour that Frontier College, the national literacy organization, gives to an individual for supporting literacy efforts.

“Eric Sinclair has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to cause of literacy through his volunteerism with Frontier College,” says Stephen Faul, president and CEO of Frontier College, in a statement.

Sinclair, a longtime supporter of Frontier College, served as a board member for the organization and played a key role in getting the Scrabble competition off the ground when it first launched in 2005.

“The work the college does in the community is important and we salute their dedication to improving literacy rates among children, youth and adults in communities across Canada,” Sinclair says.

The fundraiser brings together 250 executives from Bay Street’s financial, legal, technology and accounting circles for a night of competitive wordplay. Proceeds will help the organization fund its community programs across Canada.
