Kingston, Ont.-based Empire Life Insurance Co. on Tuesday announced an enhanced online life insurance application process. Building off an existing application, the Fast & Full Life App. 3.1. now includes the most requested features based on advisor feedback

The new features include:

  • EstateMax, a new participating whole life product;
  • joint-life and multi-life policy capability;
  • riders and benefits;
  • a health questionnaire bypass with personal history tele-interview; and
  • integrated sales illustrations.

“Since introducing our Fast & Full online life insurance application in December 2013, many advisors have adopted the streamlined process that saves them time and eliminates paper applications; allowing them to see more clients,” says Sean Kilburn, senior vice president, retail, in a statement.

“We knew that our initial online sales process would evolve over time and by working closely with our advisor community we have been able to enhance our online life insurance application process by adding the most requested features from advisors who are using it,” Kilburn adds.

“With the help of their advisor, Canadians can apply for the life insurance coverage they need in a manner that is most convenient for them,” Kilburn says, “whether that is in person or over the phone with screen sharing in a virtual appointment with their advisor”

The enhanced app works on any tablet, desktop or laptop, and uses electronic signatures and e-payment to reduce paper and speed up processing time.
