Surrey, B.C.-based Coast Capital Savings Credit Union announced on Tuesday that it has welcomed Tracey Arnish as its new head of human resources (HR).

Arnish, who joined the credit union earlier in July as “chief people officer,” brings more than 15 years of HR management experience to her new role. She is also a writer and speaker known for sharing her thoughts on talent acquisition, career development, the rise of millennials and the next generation of leaders, according to the firm’s announcement.

“Tracey is an inspirational leader who is passionate about helping organizations connect people with their purpose,” says Don Coulter, president and CEO at Coast Capital, in a statement. “With her rich experience in bringing out the best in organizations, their people and their cultures, she will be an instrumental part of our leadership team.”

Arnish will lead the firm’s efforts in acquisition and management of employees, the firm’s benefits package and ongoing training for staff.

Arnish was most recently senior vice president of people and culture at Vancouver-based Canfor Corp., which produces forestry products.
