Firms increasingly adopting electronic data feeds to track insurance policies

The Thornhill, Ont.-based Canadian Life Insurance EDI Standards (CLIEDIS) association announced on Thursday that it’s welcoming two new members to its executive committee.

Bobbisue Edmondson, vice president of operations at Woodbridge, Ont.-based Hub Financial Inc., and Al Knight, department leader of operations and service operations at Edward Jones in Mississauga, Ont., are the committee’s most recent additions.

“I am sure they will bring tremendous value to the CLIEDIS organization with their participation on the committee,” says Julie Parrott, executive director of CLIEDIS, in a statement. “Their organizations, HUB Financial and Edward Jones have been strong advocates for standardized data exchange for the Canadian life insurance industry and the work that CLIEDIS does.”

CLIEDIS is the life insurance industry’s not-for-profit organization responsible for advancing electronic data exchange, and its executive committee is made up of executives from the Canadian life and health insurance industry.
