Toronto-based CI Investments Inc. on Friday announced portfolio management changes for five investment products. The changes will be effective Nov. 27.

Black Creek Investment Management Inc., based in Toronto, has been appointed portfolio sub-advisor to International Equity Alpha Corporate Class and to a portion of Select International Equity Managed Corporate Class and Select International Equity Managed Fund. Lead portfolio managers will be Richard Jenkins, chairman and managing director of Black Creek, and Evelyn Huang, director of global equities.

In addition, Cambridge Global Asset Management has been appointed sole portfolio sub-advisor to International Equity Growth Corporate Class and International Equity Growth Pool. Cambridge, a division of CI, currently manages approximately half of the pools’ portfolios. Lead portfolio managers are Alan Radlo and Brandon Snow, co-chief investment officers of the Cambridge team.

International Equity Alpha Corporate Class and the International Equity Growth mandates are part of the Evolution Private Managed Accounts and other managed solutions offered by CI through advisors with Assante Wealth Management. The Select International Equity mandate is a multi-manager pool in CI’s Portfolio Select Series program. Signature Global Asset Management, a division of CI, and Greenwich, Conn.-based Altrinsic Global Advisors, LLC will continue to manage their portions of the portfolio.

Black Creek and Cambridge are replacing Picton Mahoney Asset Management of Toronto, which continues to manage significant assets for CI as sub-advisor to the Synergy-branded mutual funds, CI Canadian Small/Mid Cap Fund and other investment mandates.

CI Investments is a subsidiary of CI Financial Corp. (TSX: CIX), an independent, Canadian-owned wealth management firm with $142.3 billion in assets as of Oct. 31.
