Alternative trading system Chi-X Canada ATS Ltd. is set to launch a new odd lot trading facility next week.
The trading venue announced the pricing for its CX2 Odd Lot Facility, and confirmed that the new functionality will launch on April 1. Trading will be available from 9:30 to 16:00 pm ET, and Chi-X says that it will provide certain unique trading features for odd lots (orders that do not represent a standard trading unit).
“We would like to thank the trading community which was the key driver behind the inception of CX2’s Odd Lot Facility. We recognize that Chi-X, the largest competitor to the primary market, is in a unique position to bring greater trading efficiencies as we look to drive positive change to benefit all investors,” said Dan Kessous, CEO of Chi-X Canada.
The firm reports that its trading venues (Chi-X and CX2) captured a combined 21.2% market share of TSX listed trading volume in February.
